X-am 2600 – Multi-Gas Monitor for 1-4 Gases

The new Drager X-am 2600 multigas analyzer is the successor to the X-am 2500, which has proven itself through many years of reliable service. It simultaneously measures up to four explosive and flammable gases (methane, etc.), oxygen (O₂), carbon monoxide (CO), and hydrogen sulfide (H₂S). Just as durable and robust, it stands out from its predecessor with a modernized design and state-of-the-art functionality.

It works with the new intelligent software solution Dräger Gas Detection Connect, which allows you to optimally manage your equipment and always know the location and status of the gas detectors transmitting data on detected hazardous gases. With Gas Detection Connect, you can protect your employees more reliably while simultaneously increasing operational efficiency at your facility.

It ensures a high level of safety combined with exceptionally low operating costs.

The X-am 2600 gas analyzer is optimized for monitoring hazardous gases in diffusion mode only and cannot be used with the Dräger X-am pump. If you need a multi-gas detector with forced sampling, choose the model X-am 3500, which features a built-in pump.

• Convenient Operation

  The X-am 2600 is easy to operate and you can monitor it daily. It saves operating costs and time through quick tests, using the X-dock automatic test station with low gas consumption or a purely mechanical station for a quick functional test (bump test).

  Additional features: easy firmware updates via X-dock and the option to remotely control device settings via Dräger Gas Detection Connect.

• Personal gas monitoring

  Small and lightweight, the X-am 2600 is comfortable to wear, does not interfere with work, and is easy to use even while wearing gloves thanks to its large buttons. The display provides a quick overview of the most important information: gas readings, alarms, and the time. A green light clearly indicates that the device is ready for use. All of this, plus the icon-only menu (no text), makes it user-friendly and easy to operate. Oxygen measurement features four alarm thresholds—pre-alarms and main alarms for both decreasing and increasing oxygen concentrations.

  Additional feature: approved for use in explosive environments, Ex Zone 0, it also has a very high IP 68 protection rating.

• Sensors: Durable and Reliable

  The newly developed Ex explosive gas sensor combines a number of advantages: it is ready for calibration within seconds and offers exceptionally high resistance to mechanical shocks. The Ex sensor is resistant to toxicity from silicone and other substances that are “toxic” to catalytic sensors. Dräger develops and manufactures the sensors in-house, including a variety of proven, durable electrochemical sensors in the XXS format.

  An added bonus: the sensors and the device are perfectly matched to each other and save money, as they rarely need to be replaced.

• Focus on sustainability

  The X-am 2600 multi-gas detector is designed with German engineering for sustainability. The durable Dräger EX and XXS sensors, combined with the powerful T4 rechargeable battery—which can be easily replaced with a single screw—ensure a long service life for the instrument. Almost all replacement parts can be replaced by trained users, and all other parts can be repaired at authorized service centers. All existing accessories and add-ons from the older X-am series can be used with the new model.
