MGT-P – Multi-Gas Monitor for 1-4 Gases, with a Catalytic Sensor

Price range: 486,00 € through 546,00 €

Personal multi-gas analyzer and detector for monitoring the concentrations of up to 4 different explosive and toxic gases—flammable gases, oxygen (O₂), carbon monoxide (CO), and hydrogen sulfide (H₂S). Designed for personal protection, it comes with an additional pump and hose, making it suitable for use as a gas monitor in confined spaces with restricted access (mines, storage tanks, etc.). The model uses a catalytic sensor for flammable gases, calibrated for methane (CH₄), as well as electrochemical sensors for O₂, CO, and H₂S.

Select your desired sensor configuration from the menu, and you can choose additional accessories from the page at Senko accessories or when viewing the product in your cart.

Delivery time: 6–9 days, with an option for express delivery in 3 days.

Description

SENKO MGT-P – Multi-Gas Analyzer and Detector with Catalytic Sensor

The Senko MGT-P is a portable multi-gas detector designed for continuous measurement of hazardous gas concentrations. It provides reliable protection by simultaneously monitoring up to 4 gases (O₂, CO, H₂S, and flammable gases) and issuing immediate alarm signals in the event of a health risk.

It is suitable for use in industrial environments and confined spaces, including applications with a risk of explosive or toxic gases. The model uses a catalytic (pellistor) sensor for flammable and explosive gases, which also allows for the detection of hydrogen (H₂).

Advantages:

  • Fast sensor response;
  • Compact;
  • 360° alarm, including:
    • a powerful 90 dB siren;
    • strong vibration;
    • bright red LED indicator (360° visibility);
  • Replaceable sensors and battery;
  • Long-term operation.

Measured gases and configurations

The Senko MGT-P can be configured to suit the needs of the operating environment with 2, 3, or 4 sensors:

  • 4 gases (standard configuration): O₂, CO, H₂S, explosive gases
  • 3 gases: combination depending on the application
  • 2 gases: basic protection (e.g., O₂ + CO)

This allows for an optimal balance between cost, maintenance, and the required level of safety.

Key Features

  • ATEX certification for use in explosive atmospheres (Zone 0)
  • Simultaneous measurement of up to 4 gases
  • Sensor type:
    • electrochemical (O₂, CO, H₂S)
    • Catalytic (LEL)
  • Memory: the last 30 alarm events + data for the last 2 months
  • Operates for up to ~24–25 hours on a single charge
  • Protection rating: IP66 / IP67
  • Operating temperature: -20°C to +45°C
  • Additional TWA / STEL display

Measurement ranges:

  • Explosive gases – 0–100% LEL, resolution 1% LEL;
  • Oxygen (O2) – 0–30 %Vol, resolution 0.1 % Vol;
  • Carbon monoxide (CO) – 0–500 ppm, resolution 1 ppm;
  • Hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) – 0–100 ppm, resolution 0.1 ppm.

The display shows the current concentration and the level of the activated alarm. The Senko MGT-P can be configured via the optional IR module, which allows you to adjust alarm levels and download data from the device’s memory. The sensor for flammable and explosive gases is calibrated for methane (CH4) and is effective across the entire range of 0–100% LEL.

Reliable Detection and Fast Response

The detector is equipped with highly sensitive sensors with a fast response time. When hazardous concentrations are reached, a two-stage alarm is activated:

  • Explosive gases (methane) – 10 / 30% LEL;
  • Oxygen – 19 / 23 %Vol;
  • Carbon monoxide – 30 / 60 ppm;
  • Hydrogen sulfide – 10 / 20 ppm.

Small and portable

The Senko MGT-P is compact—about the size of a cigarette pack. It weighs only 240 g, making it lighter than most other similar detectors on the market. It features a clip on the back for attaching to clothing or a bag.

Event logger for analysis and reporting

The Senko MGT-P gas detector stores records of:

  • the last 30 alarm events
  • peak concentrations
  • measurement data for a period of up to 2 months
  • Bump Test Logs

Display of time-weighted average and short-term exposure limits (TWA / STEL)

The Senko MGT-P monitors not only instantaneous gas concentrations but also cumulative exposure over time, triggering an alarm when preset TWA and STEL values are reached. This is particularly important during prolonged work in confined spaces.

Time-Weighted Average (TWA)
This represents the average concentration of a given gas over an eight-hour workday or a 40-hour workweek at which no significant adverse health effects are expected.

Factory-set values:

  • carbon monoxide (CO) – 30 ppm
  • hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) – 10 ppm

Short-Term Exposure Limit (STEL)
Defines the maximum concentration to which workers may be exposed during the last 15 minutes without serious health risk.

Factory-set values:

  • carbon monoxide (CO) – 200 ppm
  • hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) – 15 ppm
