X-am 5000 – 5-gas multi-gas monitor

0,00

Gas monitor for simultaneously tracking the concentrations of 1–5 gases. Designed for personal protection when working in environments with hazardous gases. When configured with a pump and probe (optional), it can be used to monitor gases in confined spaces (mines, storage tanks, etc.). 100% compatible with AREA monitoring via X-Zone for monitoring large areas.

The X-am 5000 is no longer manufactured. It has been replaced by X-am 5800.

Description

Advantages of the Dräger X-AM 5000:

  • Reliability Even Under the Harshest Operating Conditions

The water-resistant Dräger X-AM 5000 is designed for use in harsh industrial environments. With an IP 67 rating for water and dust resistance, it features a rubber housing and shock-resistant sensors. All of this provides additional protection against impacts and vibrations. The device is also resistant to electromagnetic interference and operates reliably under very adverse conditions.

  • “Cut-off” resistant catalytic sensor

For improved safety when encountering unknown and potentially explosive hazards – The Dräger X-AM 5000 provides reliable alerts thanks to the high sensitivity of the new catalytic sensor (Cat Ex PR) for explosive gases and vapors. Not only does it respond quickly to explosive gases and flammable organic vapors, but it is also highly resistant to sensor “poisoning” by silicone and hydrogen sulfide. Combined with its long-term stability, this offers an exceptionally long expected sensor life of more than 4 years. This reduces your operating costs.

The SatEch sensor can optionally operate in energy-saving mode (measurement at set intervals). This allows for up to 48 hours of continuous use without recharging.

  • Versatile configuration options

Thanks to the advanced electrochemical sensors from the Dräger XX sensor series, the Dräger X-am 5000 can simultaneously monitor the concentrations of up to 5 explosive and hazardous gases and organic vapors. The X-am 5000 offers a wide variety of sensor configuration options. You can choose from 32 different sensors, including oxygen (O₂), chlorine (Cl₂), carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO₂), Hydrogen (H₂), Hydrogen Sulfide (H₂S), Hydrogen Cyanide (HCN), Ammonia (NH₃), Nitric Oxide (NO), Nitrogen Dioxide (NO₂), Phosphine (PH3), sulfur dioxide (SO2), organic vapors (OV, OV-A), amines, odorants, phosgene (COCl2), and ozone (O3). The sensors can be easily replaced, calibrated, or reconfigured to meet the various needs of users.

  • Flexibility in Use

With their compact size, ergonomic design, and lightweight construction, the Dräger X-AM series multigas analyzers are the perfect solution for use as a personal gas detector. Easy to operate with just two buttons, the analyzer offers convenient and intuitive use. Gas detection is diffuse, with sensor openings on the top and front, making it nearly impossible to block or cover them accidentally.

With the optional automatic external pump and an extension hose, the X-AM 5000 is suitable for measurements in confined spaces, such as tanks or shafts. The pump starts automatically when connected to the device.

In combination with the Dräger X-Zone 5000, it can be used to monitor large open areas.

  • Suitable for use in explosive atmospheres

The Dräger X-AM 5000 is certified for use in atmospheres that are continuously explosive (ATEX Zone 0).

  • Flexible power options

By default, the X-am 5000 is powered by standard alkaline batteries, but it can also be equipped with a NiMH T4 rechargeable battery pack, which eliminates the need to keep spare batteries on hand or replace them. With the T4 pack, charging is done directly in the device.

  • Easy Functionality Tests

The automatic testing system Dräger Bump Test Station is the ideal addition that will save the user time and money.

It can be configured with 32 different sensors. The brochure provides details on the full range of configuration options and additional accessories:
