The innovative breathalyzer BACtrack Mobile is a super-compact and multifunctional modern analyzer.

The breathalyzer is controlled directly from your mobile device via an Android or iOS app. The app is free, very easy to use, and offers many useful features, such as digital display of test results, estimated time to sobriety, and more. The breathalyzer has its own power source (a Li-Ion rechargeable battery) and does not drain the battery of your smartphone or tablet. It is equipped with Bluetooth version 4.0 for wireless data transfer to your mobile device.

BACtrack Mobile analyzes the breath sample using a professional electrochemical sensor and ensures highly accurate results. Testing is performed via contact by exhaling into the mouthpiece.

In appearance, the BACtrack Mobile breathalyzer resembles a lighter; it is lightweight and extremely compact.

BACtrack Mobile uses an electrochemical sensor for analysis. Electrochemical sensors have many advantages over semiconductor sensors: higher accuracy, reliability during long-term use, energy efficiency, and they are not affected by substances other than alcohol, among other benefits;

Testing is performed using a contact method with a mouthpiece. When exhaling through the mouthpiece, the test provides much more accurate results compared to the non-contact testing method without a mouthpiece.

It works with mobile devices running Android (ver. 4.3 and higher) and iOS (ver. 8.0 and higher).

Quick and easy setup for use with a mobile device (smartphone or tablet)

This procedure is performed only once, the first time you use the device:

1. Download and install the free BACtrack Mobile app on your mobile device (available on the App Store or Google Play).
2. Turn on Bluetooth on your smartphone or tablet.
3. Turn on BACtrack and wait for your mobile device to recognize it. Synchronization happens automatically, and you’re now ready to take a test.

How do you take a test with BACtrack Mobile?

It’s extremely easy—just follow these steps:

1. Press the button to turn on the breathalyzer;

2. Place the mouthpiece into the opening at the top;

3. Launch the BACtrack app, wait for your phone to pair with the breathalyzer, and tap the BAC test icon on your mobile device’s screen;

4. Wait about 10 seconds for the sensor to warm up to operating temperature. While you wait, you can estimate the expected result by selecting your perceived level of intoxication on the scale below the Guess your BAC; label

5. When the message Get Ready… breathe deep appears on your mobile device’s display, take a deep breath. When the message changes to Blow now!, begin exhaling moderately forcefully, without pausing, for about 5 seconds, until all segments of the circular icon are filled. While exhaling, you’ll be prompted with the message Keep blowing… ;

6. Once the breathalyzer has analyzed the breath sample, the result will be displayed on your smartphone. If the test detects alcohol, it will also show you a graph of the estimated time it will take to sober up. This will help you estimate how long you’ll need to wait before getting behind the wheel.

The BACtrack Mobile APP expands the breathalyzer’s capabilities

The BACtrack Mobile APP not only displays test results but also offers a range of other features. With the BACtrack Mobile APP, for example, you can save the name of a drink, take a photo of it, write a comment about it, and “tag” your location on the map. In other words, this app lets you keep a sort of “alcohol diary.” After a certain period of time, the app will collect enough data on the number of drinks consumed, frequency of consumption, and so on. You can use this information solely for personal use, but you can also share it on social media.

The BACtrack Mobile package includes a convenient storage case, a microUSB charging cable, a user manual, and three replaceable mouthpieces. The mouthpieces are reusable and can be washed with warm water.
