How to use it? (in brief)

Useful Information

Classifying blood into blood types is important because transfusing the wrong type of blood can lead to serious health problems, even death. The antibodies in our immune system protect our body if foreign cells enter our system, including blood types different from our own.

Detailed instructions for use:

BLOOD SAMPLING (finger prick test)

Collect a blood sample from any finger by pricking it with the automatic lancet included in the kit:

• Wash your hands and disinfect the finger from which you will draw blood using the wipe included in the kit
• Massage your finger for a few seconds to improve blood flow
• Prick your finger with the lancet and wipe away or shake off the first drop of blood
• Wait for a new drop to form
• Use the pipette to collect the blood sample
• Place 1 drop of blood in each of the 3 sample wells on the test cassette marked with an (S)

START

The test must be started immediately after adding the blood samples!

• Open the container with the buffer solution and add it to the large “Buffer” well, then add 1–2 drops to each of the wells marked with (S) where a blood sample has been added

Interpreting the Results:

The result should be read after 1 minute and is easy to interpret:

• Sectors A and B → blood type
• Sector D → Rh factor (negative or positive)
