This type of mouthpiece is standard for the Alcotest 5000 breathalyzer model.

For combined breathalyzer models, such as the Alcotest 7000 2-in-1, these mouthpieces allow for quick, contactless testing of large crowds without causing a backup. If alcohol is detected, the mouthpiece is removed and replaced with a disposable mouthpiece for precise measurement of blood alcohol concentration.

The mouthpieces for the Alcotest 5000/7000 breathalyzers are reusable. They can be removed, washed, disinfected, and reattached.

Each mouthpiece is individually and hygienically packaged and sealed. The packaging is easy to open and allows the mouthpiece to be attached to the breathalyzer without direct contact.
