What is vitamin D and why is it important?
Vitamin D is a vital fat-soluble vitamin responsible for the absorption of calcium, magnesium, iron, zinc, and phosphates. The most common form in the body is 25-hydroxyvitamin D, which is measured in the blood to indicate the total level of vitamin D (D2 + D3).
Vitamin D deficiency is associated with numerous conditions:
-
Osteoporosis and bone diseases
-
Depression and Fatigue
-
Cardiovascular Diseases
-
Diabetes, Obesity, Weakened Immune System
-
Autoimmune and inflammatory diseases
-
Certain forms of cancer, Alzheimer’s, and others
How to use it?
1️⃣ Wash your hands and prepare all components.
2️⃣ Use the lancet to prick the tip of your finger.
3️⃣ Collect a drop of blood with the capillary dropper.
4️⃣ Drop the blood into the test cassette (the “S” slot).
5️⃣ Add 2 drops of buffer to the “B” slot.
6️⃣ Wait 10 minutes and compare the result to the color chart to determine your vitamin D level.

Interpreting the Results:
✅ Positive result: Two colored lines (C and T)—compare the intensity of the T line to the reference scale.
❌ Negative result: Only one line in the control zone (C).
⚠ Invalid: No line in the control zone—repeat the test
Quality control:
The test contains built-in controls that indicate whether the sample was collected and applied correctly. A colored line in the control zone (C) confirms the validity of the result.
