Single-use Alcohol Test Strip is a rapid test for the presence of alcohol in a saliva sample.
It allows for a comparative assessment of blood alcohol concentration.
Two-thirds of adults regularly consume some amount of alcohol, which can lead to household or workplace accidents and even death.
It has been established that the concentration of alcohol in saliva corresponds to the concentration in the blood. The amount of alcohol at which a particular person is no longer functioning properly is subjective and depends on physiological factors such as height, weight, dietary habits, and alcohol tolerance.
Single-use alcohol test strip consists of a plastic strip with a reagent at one end. Upon contact with alcohol within certain limits, a chemical reaction occurs and the reagent changes color. After obtaining a result, the color of the reagent is compared to the chart included with the test kit. For maximum convenience, the kit includes a small plastic container for collecting the sample.
How to use:
- Fill the sample container with saliva from the person being tested.
- Dip the reagent end of the test strip into the sample container and wait 6–8 seconds.
- Remove the test strip and place it on a flat, dry surface. The color will become visible after 2 minutes. Compare the color of the reagent to the color scale on the test package. Note that any coloration, regardless of shade, indicates the presence of alcohol above the specified limit. If the color is paler than the lightest shade, this indicates the presence of alcohol, but at a concentration lower than 0.2‰.
For an accurate result, always follow these recommendations:
- Perform the test at least 15 minutes after consuming food, beverages, or smoking.
- Use the All Test single-use alcohol test strip in well-ventilated areas, free of fragrances, chemicals, or other sources of odors, as these may affect the final color of the reagent.
- Please note that the use of certain medications or hygiene products containing alcohol may affect the final color of the reagent.
