How does it differ from the ethyl glucuronide (EtG) urine test?

• The alcohol test can detect ethanol—that is, while the alcohol in the body is still in its unmetabolized form—meaning while it still has a psychoactive effect.
• The ethyl glucuronide (EtG) test has a much longer detection window, which allows it to detect alcohol consumption up to 80 hours later.

What is it?

A single-use alcohol test strip is a small plastic strip with a reagent at one end. Upon contact with alcohol in urine within certain limits, a chemical reaction occurs and the reagent changes color. The color change is compared to a color chart located on the back of the test’s foil packaging.

⚠️ Important:

• Do not take the test earlier than 15 minutes after your last drink.

• Avoid taking the test in rooms with air fresheners, cleaning products, or other vapors that may affect the test results.

• Medications containing alcohol may also affect the result.
