1. Dräger ALCOTEST®6820

The Alcotest®6820 is a professional portable breathalyzer designed for roadside testing and employee screening. The successor to the Alcotest®6810, which has proven itself through decades of reliable service, this breathalyzer uses the same sensor as the brand’s flagship portable breathalyzer—Alcotest®7510. The proven brand, the improved durability of the housing, and the high-quality electrochemical sensor rank the Alcotest®6820 among the most reliable devices for professional use by companies conducting employee screening.

Testing Speed

The Alcotest®6820 has a testing speed close to that of the flagship model Alcotest®7510 in terms of functionality, but offers significantly faster measurement times. This is an important advantage during repeated testing carried out as part of mass employee screenings. After powering on, the Alcotest®6820 enters test-ready mode in no more than 5 seconds, and sample analysis is nearly instantaneous. Non-alcoholic samples are analyzed in no more than a second, while alcoholic samples take slightly longer.

Easy and Intuitive Operation

Dealing with individuals under the influence requires a high degree of concentration. With the Alcotest®6820, all measurement functions are performed using a single central button. The easy-to-understand messages on a large, well-lit display guide you unerringly through the measurement procedure under any external conditions. LEDs and audible signals reinforce the display readings and indicate when the measurement is complete. The two menu buttons facilitate navigation through the menu.

Alcotest®6820 features a balanced and ergonomic design. Its compact shape makes it comfortable to operate with just one hand. Thanks to its intuitive shape, the mouthpiece is easy to insert even in the dark, regardless of whether the user is left- or right-handed and whether traffic flows on the right or left side of the road. This ensures that the display is always in the user’s line of sight. After use, the mouthpiece can also be easily removed with a gentle nudge, even without directly touching it with your fingers. This is easy and, above all, hygienic, reducing the risk of transmitting pathogens remaining on the mouthpiece when it comes into contact with the mouth.

Professional Sensor

The Alcotest® 6820 is equipped with the proven DrägerSensor® professional electrochemical alcohol sensor. This sensor is characterized by a very short response time, accuracy, reliability, and durability. Measurements remain accurate even at sub-zero temperatures and in extreme heat. Even at high alcohol concentrations, the sensor always delivers reliable and repeatable results.

Extensive internal memory

Compared to its predecessor, the Alcotest 6820 features expanded internal memory with detailed data for the last 5,000 tests, including a unique ID, date, time, and result. The optical IR interface allows wireless printing of test results using the brand’s mobile printer (optional accessory). In addition, the data can be transferred to computer via a USB cable (optional), where, using the specialized software Alcoview, the data can be analyzed, archived, printed, and exported. The software also allows you to configure the breathalyzer directly from the computer.

A wide wrist strap ensures safe and comfortable use of the breathalyzer.

Reliable passive test

Alcotest®6820 enables rapid alcohol screening without the use of a mouthpiece. This speeds up the procedure during mass testing and significantly optimizes costs. The special funnel-shaped nozzle (reusable, optional) concentrates the exhaled breath sample toward the sensor, improving the accuracy of non-contact measurements.

The results of this type of non-contact measurement are indicative. The result is shown on the display as “NO ALCOHOL/ALCOHOL,” and in the event of a positive test (alcohol detected), an accurate measurement can be taken immediately using the mouthpiece.

German Quality

Alcotest®6820 is manufactured in Germany under strict German quality control. You can always count on reliable performance and accurate results over many years of use.

The Alcotest®6820 allows for flexible configuration and can be adapted to user requirements as well as to legal regulations in various countries. For example, in some U.S. states, the Alcotest®6820, when properly configured, is admissible as evidence even without a blood test. When configured and equipped in this way, if the test is positive, the device locks for 15 minutes; after this period expires, an accuracy check using a calibration gas is performed, followed by a final second test on the detained driver. If the accuracy test result is acceptable and does not differ significantly from the first test, a blood sample for analysis is not required.

2. DRÄGER Mobile Printer

Print the results of tests performed with the breathalyzer wirelessly using the Alcotest®6820 mobile printer included in the kit.

No special operation is required to print the result; simply bring the Dräger device close to the printer’s receiver, and the result prints automatically.

The printer uses a standard roll of thermal paper with 7-year print legibility. It can also be used with a standard roll, such as those for cash registers, available at any stationery store, or with the special long-life thermal paper, which is guaranteed to remain legible for at least 20 years.

The printer is powered by standard alkaline or rechargeable batteries. If rechargeable batteries are used, they are charged with the same cable used to charge the Drager’s rechargeable batteries.

3. Large carrying case for the Alcotest®6820 and printer

This Alcotest®6820 kit includes a large carrying case for the breathalyzer, the printer, and additional accessories for both devices.

With this case, you can securely store and safely transport your Alcotest®6820 breathalyzer, the mobile printer, and all accompanying accessories.

When ordered separately, this case costs 150.00 leva excluding VAT. If ordered as part of a set with the breathalyzer, the case is free.

4. 250 mouthpieces

The Alcotest®6820 kit includes 250 mouthpieces with a check valve. They prevent attempts to tamper with the test and ensure high hygiene standards, protecting the person being tested from inhaling pathogens remaining on the sensor when attempting to breathe through the mouthpiece. The check valve also protects the sensor from large amounts of saliva that could damage it.

Each mouthpiece is individually and hygienically packaged and sealed. The packaging is designed to be easily opened, allowing the mouthpiece to be attached to the breathalyzer without direct contact with the fingers.
