Combined hair test – detects drug use of up to 5 types, going back months

The longer the strand of hair, the further back in time drug use can be detected. For example, a 4-centimeter-long strand taken from the scalp will detect drug use up to 4 months ago, a 12-centimeter strand taken from the scalp will detect drug use up to 1 year ago.

The combined hair test detects drugs months after use, making it ideal for parents, employers, or personal self-monitoring. It requires no laboratory testing. The entire procedure is performed at home in just a few minutes.

What does the test detect?

The test detects traces of 5 groups of drugs (the number indicates the test’s sensitivity for that substance):

• MET methamphetamine – 0.2 ng/ml

• AMP amphetamine – 0.2 ng/ml

• MOP opiates – 0.2 ng/ml

• COC cocaine – 0.5 ng/ml

• BZO benzodiazepines – Xanax, Rivotril – 0.2 ng/ml

📌 The result is visible within 5 minutes after the test is performed.

How to use it?

1️⃣Take a strand of hair – about 5–10 hairs (min. 1 cm long), taken close to the scalp

2️⃣ Dip it into the buffer solution – a lysis agent is added to extract the substances

3️⃣ Place the sample in the test cassette

4️⃣ Wait: Leave the test on a horizontal surface for 5 minutes

Important: The longer the hair strand, the further back in time drug use can be detected. For example, a strand about 4 centimeters long will detect drug use dating back 3–4 months.

Interpreting the Results:

✅ Positive: The colored T marker is missing.

❌ Negative: Two colored lines appear, and the one in the T lane is the same, lighter, or darker than the C lane. If a line is visible, the test is negative.

⚠ Invalid: The control line is missing—repeat the test with a new device.

Important to know:

• The test detects the presence of a substance, but does not specify the exact date of ingestion.

• If you want to determine whether a person is currently under the influence, use saliva test.
