The ALCOTEST 6000 is ready to measure within 5 seconds of being turned on. After a measurement, the preparation time for the next test is no more than 2 seconds (for an alcohol-free test).

The ALCOTEST 6000’s proven electrochemical sensor, the same as that used in the Alcotest 7510 breathalyzer used by the police, features a short response time, a long service life, and extremely precise and reliable alcohol measurement. The analysis is accurate across the entire operating temperature range, from -5°C to +50°C. The sensor delivers reliable results even at very high alcohol concentrations. The intuitive operation of the ALCOTEST 6000 breathalyzer is a key aspect of its ease of use and smooth breath testing procedures. All functions are activated with the large blue OK button, while two buttons allow for convenient navigation through the menu. The large display with clearly legible text messages guides you reliably through the alcohol testing process. An LED and an audible signal complement the display and indicate the end of the measurement process. The ALCOTEST 6000 menu allows you to review recent results and change the device’s user settings.

Press the blue button, and the breathalyzer will take a forced breath sample. This verifies that the device has not been tampered with and measures correctly in the absence of alcohol. Attempts at tampering are also prevented by other design features: the air outlet cannot be closed, and attempts to inhale backward will not be detected.

The design of the ALCOTEST 6000 meets modern requirements for fast, easy, and hygienic breath alcohol testing. The shape of the mouthpiece allows for intuitive and correct placement, even in the dark. The spacer on the mouthpiece protects the test subject’s lips from direct contact with the device’s body. This part is also used to safely remove the mouthpiece after a test. Using a mouthpiece with a check valve further reduces the risk of virus transmission from voluntary or involuntary inhalation through the mouthpiece.

The ALCOTEST 6000 uses non-invasive measurement technology that ensures a high level of hygiene for both the user and the person being tested, thanks to the following features:

• During testing, exhaled air passes to the side rather than through the device itself. Only a microscopic amount enters the breathalyzer for analysis;
• The design ensures a 90° angle between the user and the person being tested. This ensures that exhaled air is safely directed to the side;
• The single-use mouthpiece is individually packaged;
• The mouthpiece design provides:
  • a safe, hygienic distance between the user and the subject,
  • the spacer prevents direct contact between the lips and the breathalyzer,
  • easy removal without touching the part that has been in contact with the mouth;
• In addition to the original standard mouthpieces, you can also use the breathalyzer with affordable, compatible mouthpieces featuring a check valve that prevents accidental inhalation through the mouthpiece.

With the new wireless mobile printer featuring a Bluetooth interface, you can quickly and easily print out a measurement report.

The Benefits of the Bluetooth Interface

It allows printing from any compatible Dräger device located within a 15-meter radius.

Simply turn on the printer and keep it within range of the measuring device.

Convenient and lightweight

The printer, along with the battery and paper, weighs about 380 g. It can be easily clipped onto a belt and allows you to print the report without touching it.

Easy to use

• OK button—used to turn the printer on/off and to confirm pairing;

• Side button to open the paper tray cover.

Pressing both front buttons simultaneously starts the printer’s self-test.

Three LED indicators show the device’s current status, including error messages, battery level, and Bluetooth connection status.

The printer works with standard thermal print rolls with a diameter of up to 40 mm and a width of 57.5 mm—the same type used in cash registers—which are available at any stationery store.
