AM-565plus is a high-tech system that prevents a vehicle from starting if the driver’s breath alcohol content exceeds a certain threshold. This alcohol immobilizer is designed for both personal and company vehicles, It ensures safety and compliance with legal requirements for controlling alcohol consumption while driving.

How does it work?

1️⃣ The driver must provide a breath sample before starting the vehicle.
2️⃣ The AM-565plus analyzes the sample and determines the alcohol concentration.
3️⃣ If the result is negative, the engine can be started. After a brief pause, no retest is required.
4️⃣ If the result is positive, the ignition remains locked. The driver can retake the test after a set period of time.

Additional information:

🛠 Periodic Calibration Requirement – Follow the manufacturer’s requirements to ensure proper system operation: calibrate the measuring module (breathalyzer) once a year. This must be performed at an authorized service center. Only the Measurement Module should be sent in, and to prevent the vehicle from being taken out of service, a spare unit is installed in its place (if one is not available, Keragon can provide it) or the system is switched to emergency mode, in which case no alcohol test will be triggered. The AM-565plus is not a metrological measuring instrument and does not require additional calibration by the Bulgarian Institute of Metrology.

⚠Emergency Mode – in the event of a problem, the driver can bypass the system by putting it into emergency mode using a PIN code provided by a dispatcher or immediate supervisor. Once emergency mode is activated, the system will not require a breathalyzer test for several days (the duration is configurable). This allows the driver to complete the trip and take the vehicle to a service center designated by the responsible authorities for inspection. At the service center, the system will be inspected and repaired. The violation data will be verified and analyzed to prevent attempts at abuse by the driver. If the driver does not take the vehicle in for inspection by the end of the set emergency mode, the system will lock the ignition until authorized specialists arrive.

✅ Easy installation – can be installed in virtually any vehicle or machine: passenger cars, minibuses, buses, trucks, forklifts, agricultural machinery, construction cranes, and trains, regardless of the type of drive system. In certain cases, such as with refrigerated trucks, the braking system can be disabled to ensure uninterrupted operation of the refrigeration unit.  Installation can be performed by a qualified technician at the vehicle’s authorized service center or at a trusted repair shop.
