Description

An alcohol breathalyzer with a precise and calibrated electrochemical sensor. It is suitable for self-testing and for checking a family member or friend.

The Dingo C-10 is a personal breathalyzer that measures alcohol content in exhaled air via a mouthpiece. The result is quantitative and displayed digitally on a large LCD screen. The display is backlit, allowing for clear reading even in complete darkness. It features an additional LED indicator that lights up green or red, depending on the measured alcohol concentration. The measurement result is accurate to one hundredth of a promille. The units of measurement can be switched to mg/l, mg/100 ml, or ‰ (promille). It is set to promille by default.

The Dingo C-10 does not require batteries. It is powered by a 500 mAh rechargeable battery and charges via a standard USB-C port, the same one used to charge all modern electronic devices (smartphones, tablets, laptops, and all other electronic gadgets). You can use the cable from any of your other devices with a USB-C port to charge it, and if you don’t have such a cable, one is included in the package. It can be charged using any standard USB adapter, including a car USB port, a computer, or a 220 V adapter. With a fully charged battery, you can take up to 250 measurements. Charging to 100% takes 20 minutes.

The Dingo C-10 is compact, about half the size of a pack of cigarettes. It fits in a jeans pocket, a small handbag, or a jacket pocket.

It comes with a convenient carrying case. This allows you to keep it in your car’s glove compartment without affecting its appearance.

Intended Use

The breathalyzer is intended for personal use—self-monitoring or checking a relative or friend.

Advantages of Breathalyzers with Electrochemical Sensors

The gold standard for measuring alcohol in breath, offering higher reliability and more accurate measurements compared to breathalyzers with semiconductor sensors. An additional advantage is lower power consumption and low cross-reactivity (they are not affected by molecules other than those of alcohol). For example, cigarette smoke does not falsify the result (but we advise against exhaling directly while smoking, as this may lead to faster sensor degradation). Another advantage of electrochemical breathalyzers is how quickly they are ready to test after the device is turned on.

How it works

Simple and intuitive. There is only one button, and for the user’s convenience, the device’s operations are accompanied by audible and visual signals.

  1. Turn it on and wait a few seconds for the breathalyzer to become ready for testing;
  2. Place the mouthpiece into the opening on the top;
  3. Take a deep breath and exhale through the mouthpiece with moderate force, evenly, and without interruption, until the beep stops and you hear a click;
  4. Wait a few seconds for the sample to be analyzed and the result to appear on the display.

If alcohol is detected above a certain threshold (default 0.3 per mille, but can be changed by the user), the breathalyzer emits a three-part alarm warning: an audible alarm, a visual alarm (via a red LED), and the word “Danger” on the display.

The result remains displayed for 20 seconds, after which the breathalyzer automatically turns off. If you press the button before the breathalyzer turns off, it enters the previous measurements review mode, where you can view the last 10 measurements.

Advantages of the Dingo C-10

  • Electrochemical sensor, similar to those used in professional-grade breathalyzers;
  • Battery-free operation—with a built-in rechargeable battery, you get up to 200 measurements on a single charge;
  • Excellent balance of price, quality, and design;
  • Low cross-reactivity—it reacts only to alcohol and is not affected by cigarette smoke or other substances (gum, etc.);
  • Compact size—you can keep it in your jeans pocket or store it in a small handbag;
  • Full exhalation control feature—ensures the most accurate measurements possible;
  • 3-alarm system when alcohol is detected—audible, visual, and on-screen—so you won’t miss the warning;
  • Memory for the last 10 measurements—for easy reference of your previous results;
  • Quickly ready for testing—no more than 10 seconds after turning on the breathalyzer;
  • Charges via a standard USB-C port, the same as on all modern mobile devices and gadgets;
  • Fast charging—up to 100% in no more than 40 minutes;
  • Soft carrying case. Holds the breathalyzer, mouthpieces, and charging cable.

Periodic technical maintenance

The manufacturer recommends that the Dingo C-10 undergo a technical inspection and sensor calibration once a year or after 500 tests, whichever comes first. With regular maintenance and proper use in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, the expected service life is at least 5 years.

For periodic preventive maintenance, inspection, and calibration, please contact the importer. Learn more here.

Keragon guarantees that you will always receive an accurate breathalyzer!

Keragon EOOD, which operates the Keragon online store, is a specialized company engaged in the import, sale, and maintenance of breathalyzers.

Every breathalyzer is calibrated and tested for accuracy before being delivered to the customer.

It is important to know that breathalyzers require periodic calibration and accuracy checks. This is due to the nature of the sensor, which experiences natural drift (changes in readings) even when not in use. For this reason, manufacturers provide a recommended interval for performing periodic accuracy checks and calibrating the breathalyzer’s sensor. The interval depends on the quality of the components used, as well as the expected workload (frequency and manner of use).

We have the necessary equipment to service all the models we offer. When you choose a breathalyzer from Keragon, you can count on technical support not only during the warranty period but also afterward.
