Intended Use

DrugWipe S is a rapid saliva-based drug test intended for professional use: traffic police, customs, corporate security services, probation agencies, medical facilities, prisons, educational institutions, etc.

How DrugWipe Works

The test is based on an immunological process in so-called biosensors. The biosensors contain specific antibodies that turn red if the sample contains drugs. Fast Results

A positive result is visible at the 3-minute mark, and a negative result is definitively confirmed at the 8-minute mark.

Intuitive to Interpret

DrugWipe is the only “positive” type of field drug test: the appearance of a red test line indicates a positive result. This is very convenient due to the obvious, intuitive way of interpreting the results: even minimal coloration is a definite positive result and cannot be disputed!

DrugWipe is convenient

The amount of saliva required for a successful test is only 10 microliters—a microscopic amount roughly equivalent to a quarter of a drop. All other field tests require at least 15 times more saliva, so the time needed to collect saliva for those tests is usually 10–15 times longer. A dry mouth is the lack of effective saliva production in the mouth and is a common side effect after drug use. It is caused by dehydration following the use of stimulant drugs such as methamphetamine, ecstasy, and others. Moistening the mouth with liquid or water will dilute the saliva and reduce the concentration of the drugs. The “dry mouth” effect can actually cause the test to fail. Only DrugWipe can effectively collect a sample from a “dry” mouth. Most other field tests fail when tested on a “dry” mouth; even after a 15-minute dwell time in the mouth, their collector fails to collect enough saliva to perform a valid test.

Key differences between urine and saliva tests

• The detection window for drugs in saliva most closely corresponds to their detection in the bloodstream, therefore a positive result on a saliva test is a reliable indication of recent use;
• A less intrusive sampling method. Collecting a saliva sample minimally intrudes on the test subject’s personal space;
• Greater security during sample collection. The saliva test cannot be tampered with by the person being tested, as the sample is collected directly by the tester. Unlike saliva, monitoring urine sample collection is much more difficult and intrusive, and without supervision, test subjects can easily tamper with the urine sample.
